The smart blood pressure monitor for the wrist

The Geratherm® active control is a wrist blood pressure monitor of the latest generation. It has a lithium polymer battery, like its big brother the active control+, and is therefore easy to recharge. With normal use of three measurements a day, you can measure blood pressure for around 15 days with one battery charge. In order to be able to carry out a clean measurement, the wrist should be at heart level during the measurement. The built-in "position control" shows the user the correct position and only then starts the measurement.

Questions and answers

Yes, the Geratherm® smart displays this. But be careful, the display indicates that a pulse irregularity as a result of an irregular heartbeat was detected during the measurement. This is usually not a cause for concern. However, if this symbol appears frequently, we recommend that you seek medical advice.

An irregular heartbeat is detected when the heart rhythm fluctuates while the device measures systolic and diastolic blood pressure. With every measurement the device records the heartbeat intervals and calculates the mean value. If there are major irregularities, the symbol appears when the measurement results are displayed for irregular heartbeat.

Major irregularities mean: There are two or more pulse intervals where the difference between each interval and the mean is more than 25% of the mean or four or more pulse intervals where the difference between each interval and the mean differs by more than 15% from the mean appears on the display shows the irregular heartbeat symbol

Yes, the battery can be changed.

Only use the power pack offered by Geratherm which is compatible with the device. You can purchase this from your specialist dealer.

Attention! The product may only be operated with a medically approved stabilized AC power supply (input: 100~240 V, AC, 60/50Hz; output: 6V, DC, 800mA).

A notice:
1. No batteries are required when operating with the power supply unit.
2. If the current flow from the AC adapter is interrupted during measurement, the sphygmomanometer must be reset by disconnecting the AC adapter from the sphygmomanometer.
3. Only use medically approved power supplies that meet the specifications in this manual. Using other power packs may damage your blood pressure monitor.

The measurement can be taken on the left as well as on the right arm. However, further measurements should always be taken on the same arm. Preferably on the arm where the higher blood pressure is to be measured.

Individual blood pressure changes several times a day. It is influenced by a wide variety of factors. Therefore, please make the measurements under the same conditions.

Please do not use this device if you are allergic to polyester, nylon or plastic.

Before using the device by pregnant women, consult a doctor and assess the suitability of the measuring method. In some cases there may be deviations in measurement. Pregnant women are therefore recommended to have regular check measurements carried out by their doctor, since the clinical validation was not carried out with pregnant women.

To clean the case, use a cloth dampened with water or neutral detergent, and then wipe dry. Avoid thinners, petrol and other aggressive cleaning agents.
